We spent so much time and energy on the inside of the house these past weeks that originally we thought we’d wait until next year to do the backyard.

Lo and behold, we put in gardens in the front, painted the deck, bought lounge furniture, put sod down, and put in a small vegetable garden. (With lots of help from the in-laws I might add!)

Den – final touches

This room is nearly there.

We decided to add another sconce instead of the table lamp. So there will end up being 3.

Debating on a rug in here. I love our floors but the coffee table is sliding.

Art is up. It’s a bit of a negotiation because more is more–in my opinion–but my husband wants to stop for now.
This is the comfiest couch around and I want to spend all day on it.

Starting on the Master Bedroom

Deciding what pieces of art to go in here might be difficult. I don’t have any more horizontal paintings or prints so I’m thinking a gallery wall of some sort.

I’m going to add some hooks for robes on either side of the bed, along with the art when I decide what that is.

Luckily we have a lot of space in this room and opposite the bed I will eventually do a dressing table/vanity desk/makeup station that I’m looking forward to.

More to come!

Starting on the Living Room

This set up is coming together really well. Our existing Structube oil painting looks excellent in the new space. New couch and coffee table bring in more grey so we’ll have to decide where to go bold: pillows, drapes, or rug.

Levi napping before we mounted the art.

These two rooms are getting close. The rest of the house–not so much.
